The South American One is “ColOmbia” not “ColUmbia”
Posted by Cracker on December 14th, 2009Colombia – The South American country where you’re no longer in immediate danger of getting kidnapped; they have great coffee and, in my experience, exceedingly polite people
Columbia – Any number of towns and cities in the United States; may have great coffee and polite people, or may not; I know of at least one Columbia that has a bunch of racists -_-
Listen, both of these names originate from Christopher Columbus or, as they call him in the Spanish language, Cristóbal Colón, and I’m sure that’s why you keep confusing them. But its driving me nuts. LOOK AT THE ENTIRE WORD. SPELL IT CORRECTLY.
Nobody wants coffee from Columbia, South Carolina. Nobody wants anything from Columbia, South Carolina that I can think of, so stop confusing the two places.
(Yes, South Carolina, I’m calling you out. More about my hate affair with South Carolina at a later date.)
