Sublime Sunday – “No Children” by the Mountain Goats

Everybody who knows me already knows this song because I hum it incessantly. But for those of you who haven’t had that pleasure, I give you “No Children,” i.e. the most honest song about the natural deterioration of a relationship ever written. Not that it applies to the relationship showcased in this blog or anything. I’m just a morbid cracker. Happy end of the week!

Supporting Cast

Coffee is an artist, a business owner, and a tiny Colombian. Upon first meeting Cracker, Coffee told her: “You should visit Colombia! You probably won’t get kidnapped."

Frito is Señor’s best friend since childhood, when they grew up together in Venezuela. Confusingly, Frito is actually Puerto Rican and extremely proud of that heritage. He’s also (hee!) Mr. Coffee.
